Summary

Vagelis Xanthakis was born in Athens, Greece in 1968. After leaving school in 1985 he entered Information Technology (IT) branch, when he became a student in IT school of Technical Educational Institution of Piraeus. By working as an IT Professional since 1989, he has accumulated long IT experience in different IT positions. He worked as a systems engineer from 1989 until 1995. From 1995 he is working as a software architect and engineer and he is dealing with corporate software analysis, design and development.

In parallel with his technical skills he developed other soft skills such as project management; team leading and recently he acquired his MSc degree in Management of e-Business. He have been an employee or worked as a freelancer for known domestic and multinational IT companies in Greece such as Bull S.A., Intarget S.A., OteNet S.A. and Oracle S.A.

Over the years he has been exposed to a wide range of technologies through work, training given and self-development. He remains abreast of current technology trends by examining professional IT books and magazines and enjoys implementing new technologies in projects. He is a dynamic individual who can think, evaluate a situation and devise solutions promptly.

Now he is working as a independent consultant and provides organisations with technical and business consulting services on the development of software applications. Furthermore he provides organisations with training services on specific information technology areas. Quality, consequence and reliability are the basic factors which characterize the given service. He is looking forward for collaborations based on trust and win-win situations.
